Wyndham Orlando I-Drive

Looking for a resort in the heart of all of Orlando's greatest attractions? I've got you covered. I recently stayed at Wyndham Orlando I-Drive and it far exceeded my expectations.

International Drive is home to so many family-friendly attractions. I grew up visiting this strip quite a lot growing up and so staying in the heart of it all was a dream come true.

Wyndham International Drive is such a wonderful option for families traveling to Orlando. It is conveniently located near I-4, Florida Turnpike, and is only 12 miles from the airport. There are so many activities within walking distance from the resort making this the perfect location for families of all sizes. Wyndham I-Drive is situated in the heart of ICON Park near The Wheel, Sea LIFE Orlando Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Orlando, Arcade City and several other popular Restaurants! The Wyndham is also a quick drive to Universal Orlando and is only 8 miles from Walt Disney World Resort.

Check in for the resort is 4pm and check-out is 11am.

They have several amenities including: complimentary basic wireless internet, in-room fridge, 24 hour technology lounge, lobby bar, barista serving Starbucks, 2 outdoor pools, heated spa, plenty of parking, massaging showers, pillow top mattresses, and over 600 guest rooms/suites!

Final Thoughts:

Chris and I had the best time relaxing and unwinding at Wyndham I-Drive. We are Central Florida locals but honestly, staycations here in Orlando are the absolute best. I highly recommend taking the time to unwind, even if its in your own backyard. A change of scenery is good for the soul. The location of this resort was so ideal and the fact that they have family suites are perfect for those larger families that struggle to find affordable rooms! We stayed in the executive suite featuring 1 1/2 bathrooms, a large executive dining table, a full living room, kitchenette and full bedroom featuring a king size bed. My favorite part was being located right across from the 2 pools. The multiple sliding doors allowed so much sunlight to flood into our room each morning and had the BEST view of the Florida sunsets. When I first walked in I was surprised with the most delicious charcuterie board and wine. This room was absolutely huge and would be big enough to host a super fun bachelorette, birthday party or family celebration.

Here are a few sunset shots from our first night there.

Chris and I walked to Red Robin on the first night which was so close to the hotel. After dinner we got Cold Stone Creamery and walked International Drive. Being so close to ICON Park you could hear the screams from the Orlando Star Flyer in the distance. There are so many restaurants to choose from as well and the entire street just smelled so delicious.

The second night Chris and I decided to get in our car and drive down I-Drive a bit further to Maggianos Italian Restaurant. This was only about a 5 minute drive and was well worth it. We were close to Wonderworks and so many other fun attractions.

On our last day we wanted to take advantage of their GORGEOUS landscaping and grounds and take some lifestyle portraits. The flowers, ponds, bridges and palm trees literally make you feel like you are not in Orlando but in a slice of paradise. We will definitely be back for many staycations to come.
